God Turns Our Darkness Into Light - Whispers in the Wind Blog

 Welcome back to the Whispers in the Wind blog. Today I am going to share a personal story of how I have seen God work in my own life. About two years ago I started having seizures due to being over-dosed with the MMR vaccine as a baby. At first I wasn't to worried or concerned because I had seen my brother go through this. But after a couple of months my life started to change a lot, I prayed to God night after night. One day when I was at someones house I heard the song Trust In You by Lauren Daigle playing and the song really encouraged me, it says, "Mighty warrior, king of the fight. No matter what I face you're by my side. When you don't move the mountains I'm needing you to move, when you don't part the waters I wish I could walk through, when you don't give the answers as I cry out to you, I will trust in you." Then another day I stumbled upon some Bible verses that really stood out to me. James 1:2-3 says, "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sister, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that testing of your faith produces perserverance." And Romans 8:18 says, "The pain that you have been feeling can't compare to the joy that is coming." And 1 John 4:4 says, "The Lord is greater then the giants you face." Although the trials in my life have been painful and hard, I am greatful for them because they have helped me to strengthen my relationship and faith in Jesus, and has helped me to remember that even through the struggles and hardships, God can turn those dark times into beauty, joy, and good thing, as Psalms 18:28 says, "You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light."
